Bridal Jewelry-Angela Schade
>> Monday, December 29, 2008
We would like to introduce you to the work of jewelry designer Angela Schade, whose gorgeous handmade bridal jewelry has been featured in a variety of bridal magazines. Her line, Something Blue, features bridal jewelry, hairpieces and tiaras, as well as beautiful jewelry designs for everyday wear. Each piece is hand-fabricted from original designs using finest materials. So Angela created a line of jewelry specifically for brides.
A native califirnian, Angela Schade began her jewelry career- making and seling jewelry at the age of twelve. While other girls of her age were playing with dolls, she was busy designing and marketing her first line, an eclectic mix of found objects and beads.
She studied metalsmithing in Pasadena, CA, Penland, NC and London, England. "I was studying to be a graphic designer and during a lunch break I stumbled across the jewelry studio. I was completely enthralled by what I saw and the next semester was all about jewelry (and I never looked back). I have an almost 3 year old daughter who loves to spend time in my studio with me playing with the "sparklies" - which can be challenging at times, but so much fun!"
You can find her work in the UK at Bloomsbury in Bath and The Accessory Boutique. In the US at Camille de Pedrini in South Pasadena, Leonora Moss in Sierra Madre, and on Etsy, of course!
