Nina's world travels have influenced her creativity, with her Asian background being the most influential. As a young girl growing up in war-torn Vietnam, Nina loved to help her Uncle, a goldsmith, in his jewelry foundry where he designed jewelry castings.

At very young age Nina started designing jewelry. Her passion and inspiration for jewelry design has been her motivation over the intervening years, bridging her cultural background with her new home in the United States. After a journey to India in 2004, Nina undertook the ambitious enterprise of starting a jewelry design firm, Nina Nguyen Designs.
