Kimberly Baker is the most stylish designer and makes the most elegant jewelry. So, you can guess that Kimberly Baker jewelry will be more than just a bunch of pretty baubles. Her jewelry pieces have elegance, wit,and a little bit strange.“I am continually inspired by Albertus Seba’s “Cabinet of Natural Curosities,” said Baker. My laser cut earrings evolved from the textures and patterns in illustrations of coral and algae. The Ariel necklace and ring sprung from a similar place.” also said by Baker.
Kimberly has long been an admirer of Gothic Architecture, and recent trips to Spain and Italy have brought a level of antiquity to her designs. Her newest creations also give a nod to Victorian design; one of Kimberly’s enduring passions. She said “I’ve been studying the Victorian era and I love that jewelry had meaning and symbolism. Women would wear memorial pieces in honor of family members, and the imagery they used was beautiful.”
The beautiful and dramatic designs of her necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings come in sterling silver and gold vermeil plate. They are a contradictory combination of old-fashioned elegance and modern wit, with a dash of Gothic darkness thrown in for spice.
Kimberly’s designs have been featured in numerous publications including WWD, Nylon, Giant, InSTYLE, Teen Vogue, Marie Claire, Lucky and US Weekly. The line has also been profiled on Daily Candy, CNN, The Today Show and The View.
Kimberly Baker Jewelry is available at some of the country’s most distinctive, trend setting boutiques including Bettina Duncan at Fred Segal and American Rag in Los Angeles, Tangerine in Chicago, Eliza Page in Austin and TG-170 in New York.
